Spiritual Spectrum

I believe that experiencing the divine creator, or not experiencing it, is a subjective experience for everyone.  There are currently 7 billion different perceptions of how the process of life works, but I also take into account everyone from all the previous centuries.  The way I see it is like a prism.  You have a single stream of white light that when passed through a filter disperses into varying colors.  I think of the creator as the primary light source and all living beings as part of an infinite spectrum of this light.  We are all integral to the whole; we are part of the creator and instrumental in helping create this world.  No one is more or less important; no one is more or less connected.

As far as messengers like Jesus and Buddha go, I feel their messages occasionally get lost in translation for some people.  I believe they were able to see the beauty of this world and life in unparalleled ways.  The wonderful thing about them, the reason they became so well loved, was that they taught universal truths.  Most importantly, they brought these messages not by being pushy, demanding, or judgmental, but by showing those around them patience, compassion, and love.  These traits are fundamental to the best spiritual leaders.  They are guides for people, but amazing guides do not hand you a map full of directions.  They listen and ask the right questions to help you realize the path on your own.  We each have a different road to travel, and only our souls contain the directions for our journey.  Find your path and follow it; your creation is another color in our spectrum.
